Print Do you believe in magic? is a 5 print Xerox copy series that explores the notion of xerography creating original art. By copying the of a screenshot from a Webtoon, Anarasumanara by Ilkwon Ha, Ema uses different techniques to make the scene from the Webtoon, something abstractedly original. The print of a screenshot is taken through many different layers of scanning along with shifting, wiggling and rotating the original material. Different materials such as paper cutouts and splattering paint and tea stains was used to bring out more color from the black and white cartoon scene used. The series in all shows the progress of the copying technique used to create what is now Ema’s art. Through many modification of an already published art, will a modified copy be an art?
